The Copperband Butterfly is one of the butterflyfish that can be kept in a reef tank. Of course, this is at your own risk as they may decide at any time to eat polyps of your corals. If you are adding this fish to a fish only tank or a reef tank, be sure to offer it lots of mysis shrimp as mysis shrimp seem to be the fishes favorite. If you have aiptasia in your tank, the Copperband Butterfly will do a great job of eating them. Often times having aiptasia in your tank will increase your success rate of this fish because it will have natural food to eat besides the food you give it.
| Good Points | Unique looking,eats aiptasia, friendly |
| Bad Points | Hard to get to eat frozen food, gets ick easy |
