The Firefish is a great fish for anyone with a cover on their tank. Dart fish in general tend to jump out of the smallest openeings so it is recommended to keep your tank sealed if you plan on getting one of these. Other then that, these are great fish for beginners and those who like schooling fish. They get along with all fish and are fast enough to be kept with aggressive fish. I have never had any issue keeping these and very rarely do they get ich.
