The Foxface is a great fish for eating algae. We have had many hard-to-combat algae in our shop and the Foxface is a very reliable eater. Some say it may pick at corals, but we have yet to see this happen. A word of caution is this fish is poisonous and often times pretty scared. When you go to clean it is not uncommon for it to "freak-out". This is only scary because if he pokes you with his top fins you will be in a lot of pain. Other then that it is a great fish in both reef systems and fish only systems.
| Good Points | Eats many kinds of algae, good community fish, doesn't get sick very often |
| Bad Points | Tends to get scared easy, poisonous |
